Position details
We seek a skilled Website Manager & WordPress Expert to enhance and maintain our digital presence. This role suits a self-motivated individual who excels in independent work and collaborative projects. Our operations are globally distributed and primarily asynchronous, aligning with our innovative approach to content delivery.
As the core of our web management team, you will ensure our WordPress site, stridewise.com, remains a beacon for heritage apparel enthusiasts. Your responsibilities will span from CMS maintenance to hosting, DNS management, and implementing best practices in accessibility, speed, and user experience optimization.
This opportunity allows for remote work or from our New York office, welcoming talents from all over the globe to join our forward-thinking team.
Responsibilities:
- Uphold exceptional website performance and ensure best practices in usability and accessibility standards are met.
- Expertise in Gutenberg editor, cloud services (such as Cloudflare and Fastly), and site speed optimization plugins.
- Proactively maintain site health for consistent uptime and smooth user experience.
- Collaborate with SEO managers, content creators, and design teams to produce engaging layouts and content structures.
- Stay abreast of technological advancements in WordPress, including plugins, and adapt to updates.
- Manage site updates, backups, restorations, and security following OWASP guidelines.
Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years experience managing high-traffic WordPress websites.
- Outstanding communication skills, with proficiency in conveying complex technical concepts easily.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to creating high-quality, user-centric web experiences.
- Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in technical SEO and site performance optimization.
- Proficiency in UX/UI design, A/B testing, and analytics tools like Google Analytics 4, Optimize, Google Data Studio, and Google Tag Manager.
- Familiarity with technical SEO tools such as SEMrush, Yoast, Screaming Frog SEO, or Rank Math.
Compensation:
- Compensation is competitive and based on experience and location. We utilize a sliding scale to ensure fairness across our team.
