This is my website, so I'll just write in first person. I'm the founder and editor of Stridewise, where I have spent nearly a decade covering boots and casual menswear.

The cool thing about having done this for so long is that I was able to quit my journalism job and travel to factories and mills and workshops all over the world. A lot of it is on our YouTube channel.

Before doing this I had stints in news reporting in Shanghai, teaching in Chile, and aid work in Kenya and India. Eventually I spent like ten years writing about fitness and nutrition in New York City. Bylines in Men's Health, Men's Fitness, Popular Science, VICE, Prevention, Runner's World, World's Strongest Man.

So I got good at making smart content and then I made smart content about boots and jeans and feral swine leather. I think Stridewise is cool!
