Yoki Baskara is the founder of Cravar, a bag company that changed the landscape of Indonesia’s leather goods industry.
Born and raised in Jakarta, he’s in charge of Cravar’s design, supplies, production, customer service, and team building.
It’s not uncommon for proprietors of well-made goods to start their interests in design or engineering, and Yoki began his in architecture. His interests and studies expanded to politics, finance, and photography, culminating in the launch of Cravar.
Intent on nailing the elusive balance of a masculine leather bag, his brand launched with a successful Kickstarter in 2013 and now sells nine models with over a dozen options for colors and materials. All of his products revolve around the timeless and sustainable mediums of vegetable-tanned leather and cotton twill.
