Nick English, the founder and editor of Stridewise, combines a rich background in journalism with well-recognized expertise in welted footwear and casual menswear.
His professional journey began in humanitarianism, reporting for NGOs in India and Kenya, before transitioning full-time into journalism. He spent some time at a news desk in Shanghai before moving to New York City to cover fitness and nutrition for publications like Men's Health, Popular Science, Prevention, VICE, and Runner's World.
Years of combining academic research and on-the-ground reporting laid the groundwork for his eventual role as the head of Stridewise, where he uses his training to create the most accurate and helpful online reviews and content.
During his time at Stridewise he has journeyed to boot workshops, sneaker factories, and leather tanneries in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, Spain, England, India, and Indonesia.
